Project Overview
In Spring 2023, I completed a remote internship with Dynamic Discs, based in Emporia, KS. I was tasked with designing a mobile app for beginner disc golfers, with the goal of creating an engaging and user-friendly experience that introduces newcomers to the sport.
Process
The project goals included:
•Creating media and information that someone with no prior knowledge of disc golf could easily understand
•Designing a simple, intuitive navigation system
•Applying Dynamic Discs’ brand style guide to ensure consistency with their website and products
•Featuring Dynamic-branded discs and the professional players they sponsor
I developed the app prototype in Figma, including layout, interactions, and visual assets, to showcase a fully functional design concept.
Outcome
While the app prototype was not published to the App Store, it demonstrates my UX/UI design skills, ability to follow brand guidelines, and experience creating mobile app workflows and prototypes for a real client. The project also strengthened my skills in user-centered design and interactive prototyping. Check out the interactive design in Figma
