Project Overview
This was a student group project where we designed a website for a client in Salt Lake County who owns various birds for shows, weddings, commercials, and occasional TV and film work. The goal was to create a professional, visually appealing site that addressed the client’s business needs and highlighted his unique services.
Process
We began by meeting with the client to understand his main clients, business needs, and pain points. This also gave us the chance to see and handle some of his birds! (pictured below is myself holding a Eurasian Eagle Owl)
Next, we developed color palettes using earthy tones (browns, greens, blues) and sky-inspired colors (blue and yellow) to create a visually cohesive theme. We created low-fidelity wireframes and mockups in Figma to plan layouts and structure. Once designs were approved, we built the website in Wix, dividing responsibilities within the team.

Outcome
Designing for a real client as a student group project was an invaluable experience — combining teamwork, client communication, and hands on UX implementation all at once. The result is a live, functioning website that gives Long Wing Birds a professional online presence worthy of their unique and captivating services. Not many designers can say they held a Eurasian Eagle Owl during a client meeting!
